How To Get Involved

If you would like to donate to or volunteer with Mason’s Toy Box, we are happy to direct you to the foundation’s website.

Mason’s Toy Box Foundation was established in 2011, shortly after eleven year old Mason Thomas lost his six year battle with stage IV neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Mason’s Toy Box is best known for their holiday toy drive where hundreds of businesses host toy collection boxes and Mason’s Toy Box volunteers dress as elves to accompany Santa Claus around pediatric hospital rooms throughout Virginia every holiday season. In 2020, the signature toy drive event was hindered due to Covid-19 and Mason’s Toy Box had to purchase all holiday wish items from vendors to ship directly to the families. Throughout the year, Mason’s Toy Box lends support to families impacted by childhood illness and injury by hosting fun events focused on that family and meeting immediate needs that family may have. In the past, they have provided three families with vehicles, several families with tires and vehicle repairs, new beds, a pool, water filtration systems, gift cards, furniture, bedding, handicap ramps, computers, ipads, home generators, gaming systems, funeral expenses, facilitation of home renovations, swing sets, baby chickens, smart rooms, clothing and shoes, birthday and homecoming parties, and so many other unique and necessary items and gestures.

WE DELIVER SMILES is their slogan. From the list above, you can tell that they deliver a lot and are a pretty unique organization. They need funding to continue to meet needs like these for families and also to grant wish list items this upcoming holiday season.
