An Exclusive Culinary Experience Celebrating Women’s History Month
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — Eastwood Farm and Winery is delighted to announce that we will be participating in the Salute to Women in Food and Wine event at Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery this weekend. We look forward to speaking with guests and will be pouring two of our favorite wines – our gold medal 2021 Chardonnay and our signature Orchard Blend, made from estate-grown apples and pears – which will be paired with dishes prepared by Executive Chef Melissa Close from Mockingbird Restaurant in Charlottesville.
The Salute to Women in Food and Wine event is presented by Taste of Blue Ridge and is the first event this year from founder, Nancy Craun, as part of the 2023 Root to Table Culinary Series.
Ticket holders are in for a treat! Upon arrival, guests will be greeted before breaking into smaller groups to explore the Manor house at Bluemont Station – each room will feature unique food & tasting stations where guests can enjoy culinary excellence from an impressive lineup of regional chefs, wine and tea from female-makers, and discussion with local farmers. The event was designed to promote conversation and to give guests an opportunity to speak with many of the women shaping the food and beverage industry in Virginia and West Virginia.
