Escape to Eastwood
A Food and Wine Destination on the Monticello Wine Trail
This was our last winery during our visit to Charlottesville and it happened to be our favorite. Just loved the setting! Lots of places for you to sit at. We started off on the covered patio and then came in for another glass. There's been some thought put into guest comfort here. The wines were lovely. While we didn't do a flight, we did enjoy a variety. I didn't do much recon beforehand or I would have realized what a great food menu they have to go along with the wines. My only disappointment was we didn't have enough time here. Eastwood Farm and Winery would be a place I could hang out for hours. To top it all off, we just had the best service! I hope to be able to make it back someday.
Visited Eastwood for the first time recently and it was wonderful. There are two parts to this winery and each has its own parking lot. There is the upper tent area with multiple picnic tables that is outdoors. There is also some uncovered patio-esque seating up there not under the tent. We went on a Saturday and there was also live music and a food truck.
Wonderful experience today visiting Eastwood Farm and Winery. The staff was gracious and the setting is striking and well maintained. My favorite part was how relaxed the whole experience was. Thank you for being such accommodating hosts!
This place caught my attention because of how many Governor's Cup medals they won in 2022. The tasting room is spacious and comfortable. I tried the Governor's Cup flight. Really enjoyed the Meritage and Cabernet Franc. Excellent charcuterie plate available. They were hosting music bingo while I was there. The burgeoning Virginia wine industry is so exciting.
